Early Summer
Vegetable CSA
Early Summer Vegetable CSA

Thursdays in June

We've designed this CSA (or Community Supported Agriculture) for customers who want a full-season CSA experience.  Intended to be purchased in conjunction with our June through October Vegetable CSA, this CSA runs for three weeks in early June.  In the true style of CSAs, members who join will experience the ups and downs that June can bring to a New Hampshire farm: a cold, late spring that means a small variety of crops, or a warm April and May that means flushes of asparagus, radishes, and lettuces well before the bounty of summer.  Joining this CSA will mean accepting the risks of early spring, as well as reaping the rewards of farm-fresh food earlier in the season than our main CSA.

How it Works:

  • Customers pay for their three pickups before the season begins, thereby reserving their shares and ensuring us with early spring sales when farming can be especially risky

  • This bulk payment means a 10%-15% markdown from retail prices

  • Pickups are Thursday June 7th, June 14th, and June 21st from 11:30am to 6pm

The weekly selections will be weather and crop dependent.  Spaces are limited, so sign up early!

Our Growing Practices

We believe that building the strength and vigor of our soil will grow healthier vegetables for you and your family.  We use organic cultivation techniques, compost from our animals, and often grow hardier heirloom varieties of vegetables.  Through crop rotation and the use of cover crops and green manures, we constantly work to improve our fields, bringing you sustainably grown, fresh, local produce for much of New Hampshire's growing season.

What Vegetables Will Be Included?

We'll be offering a full complement of spring vegetables, though their availability will be dependent on weather.  Warm springs mean an abundance of asparagus... hot springs mean the crop quickly passes us by.  Below is a list of what we'll be planting and expecting:

Easter Egg Radishes, French Breakfast Radishes, Salad Turnips, Pea Greens, Mesclun Mix, Arugula, Lettuce, Bok Choi, Senposai, Carlton Greens, Red Russian Kale, Dino Kale, Winterbor Kale, Beets, Swiss Chard, Green Garlic, Garlic Scapes, Scallions

Share Sizes and Prices

We have three sizes of share so that you can choose which one is the best fit depending on how many people it will be for and the amount of vegetables your household typically eats in a week.  Each week, we will provide you with a specific number of items, which are based on the quantity you typically buy in a store or from a farm: a head of lettuce, a pint of snap peas, or a bunch of kale.

Small

4 items per week

$40

Our small share is perfect for individuals, families who have found a medium share to be a bit too much food, or if you have your own garden and would like a CSA as a supplement to that.

Medium

6 items per week

$55

Our medium share is our most popular size.  This share is great for most couples, small families, or those interested in trying a CSA for the first time.

Large

10 items per week
$95

Our large share is suitable for larger families or couples who cook often and consume a large quantity of vegetables each week.

Pickup Days and Locations

We offer on-farm pickups for our CSA shares.  Our farm store is located on the right side of the white farm house.  Parking is on the lawn to the left as you drive in.

Pickup times for the CSA are:
